The UC Davis Transplant Center performs solid-organ transplants of the kidney, kidney-pancreas, isolated pancreas and liver, continually seeking to improve quality of life for transplant patients and to advance transplant technology through research. UC Davis transplant programs have achieved excellent results, meeting or exceeding national standards set by United Network for Organ Sharing. Recognizing that every patient and each organ type requires different immunosuppressive regimens, this approach offers new, individualized treatment options to enhance patient well-being and graft survival.

In the fast changing world of transplant new technology and policy can dramatically impact patients. Our clinical expertise is recognized by a number of insurance companies and the state of California Medi-Cal program, and we have been awarded Center of Excellence status with many plans and organizations. This certification acknowledges the expertise, success, and commitment of the transplant team and medical center in the field of organ replacement. Since 1985, the UC Davis Transplant Center has given over 1,000 patients from inland Northern California and beyond the chance for a full life.
